The Ford Store, San Leandro

We did it! On January 28th Options purchased not one but two vans at The Ford Store in San Leandro. The vans will serve our recovery residence program for pregnant and newly delivered moms in recovery, transporting the perinatal clients and their children for medical appointments, court appearances, purchasing and delivering supplies, when emergencies arise and when other transportation is unavailable or inadequate. With the help of many donors, Options was able to align with The Ford Store to broker a deal for two vans and welcome them to the Options family! The second van will serve similar needs for the 160 clients at Options ten recovery residences in Oakland and Berkeley.
Annual costs for Options’ perinatal program are estimated to be about $75,000 more than government funding provides. Donations for the van have been a huge boost for the program, and continuing support is greatly appreciated. Donations can be made through Options’ website at www.optionsrecovery.org.
